The term veneer means a thin covering over another surface. In dentistry, we can cover a tooth with a thin layer of porcelain (or similar material) to enhance function and appearance. Veneers can be directly placed on teeth without modification (tooth reduction) but are more traditionally placed after some amount of modification.
If you have perfect teeth that are just not straight, we suggest Invisalign to straighten them. If, however, your teeth are not only crooked but also unattractive due to color, old crowns or fillings, then we suggest Porcelain Veneers. In most cases, porcelain veneers can give you a beautiful, straight smile in just two visits.
